Originally from East Tennessee, for the past 15 years I’ve worked at the PBS News Hour as a writer, producer, editor and videographer, telling stories that simplify complex issues while preserving nuance and the human experience.
More recently, that work has focused on polarization, partisanship and democracy in America. We’re currently living through a revolution in communications technology, and what and whom people trust, the ways they receive information, , and how they use that information to engage with their communities - both online and offline - are driving huge changes in both our personal and public lives.
Adapting to these new systems of communication while preserving integrity, trust, and community will be one of the key challenges to building a safer, healthier, and more equitable world.
