I grew up in Knoxville, Tennessee, but for the past 15 years I’ve lived in Washington while working at the PBS News Hour as a writer, producer, editor and videographer, telling stories that simplify complex issues while preserving nuance and the human experience.
More recently, that work has focused on partisanship and democracy in America. We’re living through a revolution in communications technology and the ways people receive information, what and whom they trust, and how they use information to engage with their communities - both online and offline - are driving huge changes in both our personal and public lives. Adapting to new systems of communication while preserving integrity, trust, and community will be crucial to building a safer, healthier, and more equitable world.
